Mardou&Dean was founded in 2006 by Ingrid Bredholt and Patrik Rosenfors. The idea behind Mardou&Dean is to design a wardrobe of unique, tailored pieces of the finest fabrics and leathers as well as simple everyday wear like t-shirts and jeans. Inspired by Beatnik culture and literature, constant motion and emotion is central to the marketing philosophy. With fit and quality in focus, the thin, sharp silhouette is a trademark of Mardou&Dean clothing. The cut is edgy but simple and the look crisp, but easy.

Mardou&Dean is looking for a PR and sales intern who would like to be involved in our sales and PR activities, either on a part-time or full-time basis, for about 6 months. Starting date would be 8. August 2013.

As our PR and sales intern you are involved in the following tasks:

-Preparing and assisting in sales meetings
-Handling sales logistics
-Regular show room activity on a daily basis, incl. handling practical tasks for the international press
-Preparing events such as press days
-Research tasks
-Assisting with press clippings for press reports
-Preparing sales newsletters as well as PR newsletters

We can offer a nice and dynamic working environment in the center of West Oslo with people who are highly motivated and dedicated to what they do. You will be part of this team and will get all support and supervision that you need to succeed in this internship. This internship is unpaid. You are a team-player, who is also able to work independently, with a relevant academic background, preferably within marketing, sales, PR or business administration, maybe even with relevant working experience. You are either a graduate looking for a sales and PR experience in the fashion industry or on your last steps of your studies. You like to be surrounded by people and have good organizational as well as quick learning and analytical skills.

The photo exhibition “The First Subterraneans” celebrates Mardou&Dean's Spring/Summer 2013 runway show through the lens of iconic rock photographer Stian Andersen.

“The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars.”

Quotes from Jack Kerouac’s “On the Road”, photos by Stian Andersen and clothes by Mardou&Dean resulting in an exhibition capturing the atmosphere and special moments of the SS13 runway show of Mardou&Dean as well as the brands origin that takes inspiration from Beatnik culture and literature.

The vernissage of “The First Subterraneans” took place at the Mardou&Dean Concept Store in Oslo on 19 April 2013. Music by Michelii, drinks by Bacardi-Martini and Voss, photos by Stian Andersen and the runway Autumn/Winter 2013 film by Fredric Posé created an event that combined Rock and Fashion and celebrated the co-operation between the rock photographer Stian Andersen and the fashion label Mardou&Dean with a big crowd. 

The exhibition is open to the public from 20 April until 17 May 2013: Mardou&Dean Concept Store, Sorgenfrigaten 17, 0365 Oslo.
